The day is almost over with promises of togetherness being made at the end of the day. Well even stars were not behind in celebrating Valentines day. National Optical Astronomy Observatory today released the picture of nebula in deep space shined like a cosmic rose also addressed as the Valentine Rose. The nebula is called Sh2-174 appeared as a flower of red and blue color.
Astronomer Travis Rector, a professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Alaska in Anchorage, took this photo using a 13-foot (4 meters) telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Tucson, Ariz. He used four different filters designed to approximate colors that the human eye can see.
There were other pictures that were also released by European Space Agency and NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory of some of the amazing space photography. Lets have a look.
