New Notebook cum Tablet PC from Asus | New Asus Eee PC T91

by Vivek Yadav on July 29, 2009

This new rugged notebook cum tablet PC with a excellent touchsuite technology is a great comapnion for a businessman on the move , although it’s a bit overpricey for the netbook market segment and has somewhat lesser features than the current notebook market segment , this new offering from Asus lies somewhere between a notebook and a netbook along with the usability and ease of a Tablet PC.

It has also got a shock proof 16GB SSD hard disk which will offer supreme performance but a limited space although Asus does provide a 20GB online space but that does’nt fill the absence of a full fledged 80GB+ HDD .

Specs :- The Eee PC  T91 measures just 225cm by 164cm, and weighs a mere 0.96kg  and has a 8.9" display .

Touch screen Tablet PC -  with some bundled apps this notebook turns out to be a good competition to iPhone but loses out in dimensions and weight !

It easily turns a whole 180 degrees and then flat on the keyboard to bring up a excellent tablet PC alike interface for the user although a bit bulky though .

Highlights :-

Fun at Your Fingertips
Genuine Windows® XP Home
Unique TouchSuite software for intuitive user experience
Convertible Tablet PC Form Factor for Flexibility of Use
B5 size and weight 0.96kg light
Up to 5 hours long battery life with Super Hybrid Engine

Here is a Complete hands on Video review of Asus Eee PC T91 .

Just under 500$ I believe this would attract the high spending customers only.

T91 is also equipped with a TV tuner and Global Positioning System (GPS) on selected models , and it provides a 3g HSPDA connectivity along with a promised 5hrs. uptime on battery

Hope you find this piece of info useful !!

I kind of love the Asus Eee PC because it is very small and very light. I have an Acer Laptop and it is really a big burden on my small shoulders `

Another good thing about the Asus Eee pc is that it does not overheat when used over long periods of time. ,
